Finally we get to read Teagan's story! If you're new to the series, or just starting out, this is one you don't want to miss. Crazy For Your Love is full of angst and is an amazing friends to lovers story! If you've been reading this series from the beginning, you know Teagan as friend to all, the crazy girl who's always around giving advice, and there for everyone, but what you don't know is she has a past that she keeps hidden from everyone. Only Carter knows a little bit of it, and that's because she was in a bind and needed a fake boyfriend for a few minutes when her ex was in town a year ago. Now Carter is cashing in on the "I owe you" when he's being auctioned off at a bachelor auction and claims that Teagan is his girlfriend. All is fine and well, until it hits national news, and Teagan's family hears of this and expects Carter to be at her sisters wedding, so now Teagan needs to convince Carter to continue the charade of being boyfriend and girlfriend for a few more days. Both Teagan and Carter are hiding pain from the past, and go into this fake relationship attracted to one another, but wanting to keep their friendship intact. They have rules going in, but soon Carter realizes he can't live with the rules Teagan set forth and he wants more, and he wants to know more about Teagan. When they get to the weekend, and Teagan's ex is there, Carter gets into protective mode, and sees there is so much more to Teagan than meets the eye, and slowly he starts to unravel the story of her, and break her apart, and starts to fall more and more for her, but she still won't let him fully in. He's also dealing with his own demons and heartbreak of losing his friend a few months back and the guilt he feels from it. Teagan helps him deal with his pain as well, and throughout the weekend lines are crossed and many truths come to light.I loved watching these two navigate their "fake" relationship and figuring out how much they really meant to one another, as well as opening up to each other. I hated that Teagan never fully opened up to anyone in Jackson Harbor about her past nor felt that she could. I hated everything that she went through, as well as the pain she was continuing to go through because everything that had happened. Watching Carter try to help her, and try to understand was beautiful but he could only help so much without the full story, and he was dealing with his own pain as well.These two have a long journey to their happily ever after, and there are many speed bumps along the way, and many misunderstandings, and people trying to get in the way of these two finding their true happiness. I was rooting for them from the beginning as they have always been the life of the party and the ones cheering for everyone in previous books, and I wanted them to finally have their own happily ever after, and I'm glad they found it, even if it was a little rough getting there. But when it came to herself, she came off as weak and easily manipulated. I wish she had shared with Carter earlier so that he could have helped her battle the confrontation with confidence. But in the end, it isn't the path that you take to get to the destination, it is the journey itself, and this one is filled with a roller coaster of emotions.Next is Shay's book and after all of these brothers, I am really interested in the story of the sole Jackson sister. Lexi Ryan is great at bringing the feels, and Jackson Harbor has all the feels and then some.
