I was anxiously awaiting the Jamie/Parker story and boy did this book not disappoint.Both Jamie and Parker are totally hot messes but they worked! I loved the snowstorm angle because it seemed totally plausible. Being forced to confront past mistakes and learning more about the "adults" they have become. I liked how they didn't rush to "4th base" like a lot of books do. They took their time and it was appreciated.It was nice to see past characters become part of their story. The ending made me have to wipe my eyes.This is an amazing addition to this series. A whole cast of characters you just want to sit down with and share a meal, like family...…... This is an over-the-top, beautifully constructed, and at times excruciatingly sad and frustrating tale of two of the most important, yet wisely subjugated, characters from the first three books in the series. Jamie is Molly's brother, Parker is the prodigal boy, and the two of them have a history, and wow! what a history it is.I am not going to get into their history because it's right there on every single page in dozens of explanatory episodes in which both Jamie and Parker reveal themselves to be complete communicational idiots and emotional wrecks. This could have been a major roadblock in the overall narrative.However, what author May Archer wisely does is bring back previous characters, Cal and Ash, Everett and Silas, as well as other quirky O'Leary residents to help pave the way to a fairly smooth and somewhat hilarious wind-up for Jamie and Parker.Along the way we catch a glimpse or two of characters who might get their own books some day, and from what I understand Ms. Archer is planning a couple of more at the least. So we are not done at all with O'Leary follies and foibles, and for that we can be thankful.
